Welcome to the Colorado General Assembly's official website
The Second Regular Session of the Sixty-ninth General Assembly adjourned on May 7, 2014.
The First Regular Session of the Seventieth General Assembly will convene on January 7, 2015.

Representative Mark Ferrandino
Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives

On behalf of the 65 members of the House of Representatives, I welcome you to the Colorado General Assembly’s official website. Your visit means you are engaged in the processes by which the people of Colorado, through their elected representatives, govern themselves. With careful deliberation that involves public hearings and debate between the legislative members, the House of Representatives and the Senate enact new laws and revise or abolish existing laws; draft and approve the state government’s annual budget; and oversee the various state departments that deliver services to the people of Colorado.

This website includes searchable databases of bills introduced over the last 15 years, the Colorado Constitution, and the Colorado Revised Statues. You can also find contact information for all legislators, committee information, and visitor services. Thanks for your interest. We welcome your input.

Senator Morgan Carroll
President of the Colorado Senate

Welcome to your Colorado General Assembly! This is your state government. This website is here to help you exercise your rights to contact your elected officials, to read any of Colorado’s proposed bills for yourself, to review the state budget, to know what activities are happening every day in the Senate and the House, and to have access to the daily status of any introduced legislation.

A democracy is only as strong as the participation of the people. We have over 5 million people in the great State of Colorado and we have a proud tradition of transparency, diversity, and problem-solving. Over 90% of legislation recently passed has been bi-partisan. If you have ideas, suggestions, or input, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting and representing you!
