The committee was called to order. A quorum was present. Ms. Kelly Fox, Vice President of Finance, University of Colorado (CU) System, presented two revised two-year projections of cash need for CU Boulder and CU Colorado Springs. Committee members received a copy of the revised two-year lists, prepared by Legislative Council Staff (Attachments A and B, respectively.) Committee members also received a list of the modifications to the two-year lists, provided by CU (Attachment C). Committee members received a the CU Denver two-year projection of cash need list presented to the committee in December 2011, prepared by Legislative Council Staff (Attachment D). Ms. Fox walked the committee through the additions and revisions to the CU Boulder and CU Colorado Springs lists since they were last presented to the committee. Ms. Fox addressed a question about the total number of housing units on the CU Colorado Springs campus. Discussion turned to the required committee action regarding the two-year lists. Ms. Fox addressed questions about who is obligated to repay university debt should CU default on a bond. Discussion ensued on this topic.
