CONCERNING THE ADDITION OF FORPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
TO THE LIST OF STUDENT EMPLOYERS FOR PURPOSES OF HIGHER EDUCATION
WORKSTUDY PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State
of Colorado:
SECTION 1. 233.3401
(1), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
233.3401. Workstudy
program established requirements.
(1) The commission shall use a portion of any moneys
remaining after meeting the requirements of parts 2 and 3 of this
article to provide a workstudy program of employment of
qualifying students in good standing with the institution in which
they are enrolled in positions which
THAT are directly under the control of the institution in which
the student is enrolled or in positions with nonprofit organizations,
or governmental
agencies, OR FORPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS with which the institution
may execute student employment contracts.
SECTION 2. Safety clause.
The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that
this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health, and safety.
