Senator Hodge, sponsor of House Bill 09-1128, presented the bill. The bill creates an academic license for dentists who are employed by a college of dentistry.

Denise Kassebaum, Dean of the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, testified in support of the bill. She explained that the bill would allow the University of Colorado to recruit the best dental teaching candidates from around the country. Dr. Kassebaum responded to committee questions.

Senator Spence, sponsor of House Bill 09-1033, presented the bill to the committee. The bill makes flight schools approved and regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) exempt from state regulation.
