Senator Hodge, sponsor of House Bill 09-1128, presented the bill. The bill creates an academic license for dentists who are employed by a college of dentistry.

The following persons testified:

11:14 AM -- Denise Kassebaum, Dean of the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, testified in support of the bill. She explained that the bill would allow the University of Colorado to recruit the best dental teaching candidates from around the country. Dr. Kassebaum responded to committee questions.

11:15 AM -- Randy Klunder, Associate Dean for Admissions, Student Affairs, and Advanced Dental Education, testified in support of the bill.

Senator Spence, sponsor of House Bill 09-1033, presented the bill to the committee. The bill makes flight schools approved and regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) exempt from state regulation.

11:18 AM -- Jim Parker, Director of the Division of Private Occupational Schools, testified in support of the bill. Mr. Parker explained that the bill is a statutory clean up that recognizes federal authority. He responded to questions from the committee.
