Representative Primavera, prime sponsor of House Bill 09-0107, testified regarding the merits of the bill. The bill would add an annual $25 surcharge to fees charged for the Breast Cancer Awareness special license plate. Revenues would be credited to an expansion account of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund. Current revenues generated from plate fees are deposited in the Highway Users Trust Fund. Representative Primavera responded to questions from committee members.
