SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 99-051

CONCERNING THE COMMENDATION OF THE UNITED VETERANS COMMITTEE OF COLORADO.


WHEREAS, The United Veterans Committee of Colorado was established in 1972 and has grown to serve over 400,000 veterans and their families in the state of Colorado; and

WHEREAS, The United Veterans Committee of Colorado represents 28 chartered veterans service organizations promoting rights and benefits for veterans, spouses, and family members; and

WHEREAS, The United Veterans Committee of Colorado is a nonprofit coalition of veterans service organizations dedicated to providing a positive, unified, and well­defined working relationship with the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, the United Veterans Committee of Colorado has earned the respect of the state of Colorado; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Sixty­second General Assembly of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives concurring herein:

That we, the members of the Sixty­second General Assembly, do hereby commend the United Veterans Committee of Colorado and the services that it provides for veterans and their families in the state of Colorado.

Be It Further Resolved, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the United Veterans Committee of Colorado.
