Quorum The President announced a quorum present.
Reading of On motion of Senator Andrews, reading of the Journal of January 12th was
Journal dispensed with and the Journal stands approved
as corrected by the Secretary.
INTRODUCTION AND CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTIONS
SJR 99-008 by Senators Blickensderfer, Powers, and
Feeley; also Representatives Dean, George, and Gordon--Concerning
employee grades and steps for the first regular session of the
sixty-second general assembly.
Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Sixty-second
General Assembly of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives
concurring herein:
That pursuant to the provision of section 2-2-305,
Colorado Revised Statutes, the following positions are hereby
created for the First Regular Session of the Sixty-second General
Assembly, the monthly compensation to be paid to the persons elected
or appointed to each position to be the amount set opposite
the position:
OF THE SENATE
1 Supervisor of Information/Bill Room
Grade 68 Step 4a
Senator Blickensderfer moved to suspend Senate Rule
30(b).
A two-thirds majority of those elected to the Senate
having voted in the affirmative, Senate Rule 30(b) was suspended
and Immediate Consideration granted.
On motion of Senator Blickensderfer, the Resolution
was ADOPTED by the following roll call vote:

Feeley--Concerning the appointment of officers and employees for
the Senate of the sixty-second general assembly.
SR 99-004 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Sixty-second General Assembly of the State of
(Cont.) Colorado:
That the following named persons be appointed as
officers and employees of the Senate of the First Regular Session
of the Sixty-second General Assembly, to the positions set opposite
their respective names:
Supervisor of Information/
Bill Room: Judy E. Ford
Senator Blickensderfer moved to suspend Senate Rule
30(c).
A two-thirds majority of those elected to the Senate
having voted in the affirmative, Senate Rule 30(c) was suspended
and Immediate Consideration granted.
On motion of Senator Blickensderfer, the Resolution

On motion of Senator Blickensderfer, and with a majority of those elected to the Senate having voted in the affirmative, the calendar of January 13 was laid over until Thursday, January 14, retaining its place on the calendar.
