SENATE BILL 99-200

 

BY SENATORS Wham, Grampsas, Arnold, Phillips, Anderson, Evans, Hernandez, Pascoe, and Sullivant;

also REPRESENTATIVES Lawrence, Larson, Veiga, Gotlieb, Mace, and Tapia.

Concerning the prohibition on the Colorado school of mines' leasing property to social organizations.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:

 

SECTION 1.  Repeal. 23-41-104 (7), Colorado Revised Statutes, is repealed as follows:

23-41-104.  Control - management. (7)  Nothing in subsections (2), (3), and (4) of this section shall constitute any authority to lease any portions of college grounds to any fraternity, sorority, or other social organization.

SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
