TITLE:            CONCERNING THE HOLDING OF ALCOHOL BEVERAGE TASTINGS ON LICENSED PREMISES.

Summary of Assessment

The bill would allow retail liquor outlets to allow licensed Colorado suppliers to conduct beer, wine, and liquor tastings with adult patrons on the retailer's premise. Limited winery licensees, liquor-licensed drugstore licensees, bed and breakfast permittees, optional premises licensees, and public transportation system licensees would be excluded. The tastings may be free of charge. The bill would become effective upon the Governor's signature.

The bill would allow licensed retailers to conduct beer, wine, and liquor tastings on their retail property. This would not change the workloads, revenues or expenditures for state or local governments. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
