TITLE:            CONCERNING COLLABORATIVE DRUG THERAPY MANAGEMENT AGREEMENTS BETWEEN PHYSICIANS AND PHARMACISTS IN LONG-TERM CARE SETTINGS.



Summary of Assessment


            The bill allows physicians and pharmacists to enter into collaborative drug therapy management agreements to manage drug therapy for patients in long-term care settings. Additionally, it defines and clarifies procedures for establishing such agreements. The bill is effective 90 days upon adjournment unless a referendum petition is filed.


            Workload in the Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Registrations, will not be affected by the bill. The bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
