TITLE: CONCERNING AN ADJUSTMENT OF CERTAIN TIME REQUIREMENTS AFFECTING ELECTIONS.
Summary of Assessment
The bill would change some time requirements or deadlines for conducting elections in Colorado. The requirements for how time is calculated would be clarified. A new section allowing the early counting of mail ballots would be added. The bill would become effective upon the Governor’s signature.
The changes in dates and time requirements in this bill would not significantly change the costs or workloads for state or local government election officials. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
