TITLE:            CONCERNING THE ELIMINATION OF THE PROHIBITION AGAINST CERTAIN OFFICIALS HAVING INTERESTS IN LIMITED GAMING LICENSES.

Summary of Assessment

Current law prohibits any person who is an elected municipal official, city manager, or planning commission member of Black Hawk, Cripple Creek, or Central City from having a direct or indirect interest in a limited gaming license in the state. This bill removes that prohibition. The bill does not affect the revenues or expenditures of the state or of any local government. Therefore, the bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact. The bill would become effective upon signature of the Governor.
