TITLE: CONCERNING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RELATING TO APPROVAL OF AIR QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION REVISIONS TO THE AIR QUALITY STATE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN.
Summary of Assessment
The bill would provide legislative approval of the Air Quality Control Commission’s rule modifications to the State Implementation Plan (SIP). The bill would become effective July 1, 1999. Section 2 and 3 of the bill would not become effective unless SB 99-117 becomes law.
The bill would allow the modifications made in this bill to be submitted to the federal Environmental Protection Agency for approval and inclusion in the state SIP. This bill approves rules that are already established and in effect. Because the rules are already in effect, this bill would not have a fiscal impact on state or local government revenues or expenditures. Therefore, this bill would have no fiscal impact.
