TITLE: CONCERNING A PROHIBITION ON THE REQUIREMENT OF DONATION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AS A CONDITION OF LICENSURE IN A REGULATED PROFESSION OR OCCUPATION.
Summary of Assessment
This bill prohibits a regulatory agency or any other instrumentality of state government from requiring any person practicing a regulated profession to donate professional services without compensation to any other person as a condition of admission or licensure to that profession. The bill also prohibits payment of money in lieu of uncompensated service. The bill will become effective upon signature of the Governor.
This bill will not affect state or local government revenue or expenditures. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
