TITLE:            CONCERNING THE INSPECTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS.

Summary of Assessment

            This reengrossed bill revises provisions of the open meetings law governing executive sessions of local public bodies by requiring consideration of documents or records that are work products or that are subject to the governmental or deliberative process privilege to occur in a public meeting unless an executive session is otherwise allowed. The bill revises certain qualifying criteria for "work product". The bill will become effective upon the signature of the Governor.

            This bill will not affect state or local government revenue or expenditures. Therefore, the bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
