TITLE: CONCERNING THE CONSENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF A WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT BEFORE ANNEXED LAND IS INCLUDED WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THAT WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT.
Summary of Assessment
This bill changes the statutory regulation of the inclusion of lands within water conservancy districts. It requires the consent of the board of directors of the district (including the terms and conditions) to include, within the boundaries of the district, property that is newly annexed by a municipality that already has property within the district. The bill would become effective upon signature of the Governor.
The bill will not affect any state agency. The water conservancy district boards will be able to absorb any additional administrative expenses within existing resources. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
