NO FISCAL IMPACT

TITLE:            CONCERNING ANNUAL REPORTS OF THE COLORADO STATE FAIR AUTHORITY.

Summary of Assessment

            This bill requires the Colorado State Fair Authority to make an annual report by October 31 rather than by January 1. The report is to include certain information for the fiscal year ending in the year the report is made, and for the fiscal year immediately preceding in a comparison format. The bill requires the following additional information to be included in the report:

            •   the operation of events that are not State Fair events;

            •   the financial position of the State Fair as of June 30 of that fiscal year;

            •   a statement of cash flow for the State Fair; and

            •   a summary of State Fair attendance.

            The bill will become effective upon the signature of the Governor.

            These requirements will not create additional workload for the board or employees of the Colorado State Fair Authority or the Department of Agriculture. This bill will not affect state, or local government, revenue or expenditures. Therefore, it is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
