SENATE BILL 98­007

BY SENATORS Hopper, Martinez, Pascoe, Weddig, Bishop, Hernandez, Johnson, Rupert, Tanner, and Tebedo;

also REPRESENTATIVES C. Berry, Alexander, Dyer, George, Grossman, Johnson, Keller, Mace, Morrison, S. Williams, Gotlieb, Hagedorn, Lawrence, Leyba, Reeser, Tupa, and Veiga.

CONCERNING THE CONTINUATION OF THE CREDIT AGAINST STATE INCOME TAXES FOR CONTRIBUTIONS MADE FOR PURPOSES OF PROMOTING EMPLOYMENT FOR HOMELESS PERSONS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:

SECTION 1.  Repeal.  39­30­103.5 (3) (b), Colorado Revised Statutes, is repealed as follows:

39­30­103.5.  Credit against tax ­ contributions to enterprise zone administrators to implement economic development plans. (3) (b)  This subsection (3) is repealed, effective July 1, 1998.

SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
