article 50 of title 24, Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended
BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION to read:
2450104.6. Workweek. (1) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, ALL STATE EMPLOYEES SHALL HAVE A FOUR DAY WORKWEEK, FOR A TOTAL OF THIRTYTWO HOURS.
(2) THE STATE PERSONNEL DIRECTOR SHALL ESTABLISH
A BASE COMPENSATION RATE FOR ALL STATE EMPLOYEES AT THE HIGHEST
PREVAILING WAGE OF ALL FIFTY STATES. ANY EMPLOYEE WHO WORKS MORE
THAN EIGHT HOURS IN A SINGLE DAY, BUT LESS THAN TWELVE HOURS,
SHALL BE PAID AT A RATE EQUAL TO TIME AND A HALF OF THE EMPLOYEE'S
BASE COMPENSATION SALARY. ANY EMPLOYEE WHO WORKS TWELVE HOURS
OR MORE IN A SINGLE DAY SHALL BE PAID AT A RATE NOT LESS THAN
