HOUSE BILL 98­1229

BY REPRESENTATIVES Chavez, Romero, K. Alexander, Bacon, Epps, Hagedorn, Keller, Mace, Hefley, Nichol, Paschall, Reeser, Saliman, Snyder, Veiga, Young, and Zimmerman;

also SENATORS Wham, Bishop, Hernandez, Hopper, Pascoe, Powers, Reeves, Rizzuto, Tanner, Tebedo, and Weddig.


CONCERNING EXTENSION OF THE PROGRAM TO PROVIDE HOME­ AND COMMUNITY­BASED SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH MAJOR MENTAL ILLNESSES.


Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:

SECTION 1.  26­4­676 (3), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

26­4­676.  Implementation of subpart contingent upon receipt of federal waiver ­ repeal of subpart. (3)  This subpart 5 is repealed, effective July 1, 1998 JULY 1, 2002, unless otherwise repealed prior to said date in accordance with subsection (2) of this section.

SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
