CONCERNING THE CONTINUATION OF THE COLORADO BOARD
OF VETERANS AFFAIRS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State
of Colorado:
SECTION 1. 2610103
(6), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
2610103. Board of veterans
affairs sunset review. (6) (a) This
section is repealed, effective July 1, 1998
2007.
(b) Prior to said repeal, the Colorado
board of veterans affairs shall be reviewed as provided for in
section 231203
2434104, C.R.S.
SECTION 2. 231203
(3) (k) (IV), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
231203. Sunset review of
advisory committees. (3) The
following dates are the dates for which the statutory authorization
for the designated advisory committees is scheduled for repeal:
(k) July 1, 1998:
(IV) The Colorado
board of veterans affairs, appointed pursuant to section 2610103,
C.R.S.;
SECTION 3. 2434104,
Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW
SUBSECTION to read:
2434104. General assembly
review of regulatory agencies and functions for termination, continuation,
or reestablishment. (38) THE
FOLLOWING AGENCIES, FUNCTIONS, OR BOTH, SHALL TERMINATE ON JULY
1, 2007: THE COLORADO BOARD OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, CREATED BY SECTION
2610103, C.R.S.
SECTION 4. Safety
clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and
declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety.
