HOUSE BILL 98­1080

CONCERNING CONTINUATION OF THE DEFINITION OF MEDICAL TREATMENT GUIDELINES UNTIL JULY 1, 2003.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:

SECTION 1.  8­40­201 (13.5), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

8­40­201.  Definitions ­ repeal. As used in articles 40 to 47 of this title, unless the context otherwise requires:

(13.5) (a)  "Medical treatment guidelines" means a system of evaluation and treatment guidelines for high cost or high frequency categories of occupational injury and disease which THAT will assure appropriate medical care at a reasonable cost.

(b)  This subsection (13.5) is repealed, effective July 1, 1998 JULY 1, 2003.

SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
