TITLE: CONCERNING MANDATED INSURANCE COVERAGES FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.
Summary of Assessment
This bill requires that any specifications drawn by the State Personnel Director for state employee benefit plans include all of the mandated coverages required by the mandated health insurance coverage statutory provisions in Section 10-16-104, C.R.S.
The bill will become effective upon the signature of the Governor.
The Department of Personnel, Division of Employee Benefits, currently ensures the mandated requirements of Section 10-26-104, C.R.S. are covered under the state employee benefit plans. Any new coverages, as they are implemented, may increase state program costs, if recommended by the Executive Director of the Department of Personnel in the annual total Compensation Survey and passed by the General Assembly. This bill does not affect state or state employee program costs. Therefore, the bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
