State Revenues
The bill would impact revenues to the Supreme Court Library Fund. Currently, one third of the fees collected by the clerk of the Supreme Court are deposited in the Supreme Court Library Fund and the remaining two-thirds are deposited in the General Fund. The bill would require all fees be deposited in the Supreme Court Library Fund, estimated to be $73,000 for FY 1998-99.
State Expenditures
The bill would have a fiscal impact on the expenditures in the Judicial Department. Increased fees deposited in the fund would be used to upgrade materials in the library in addition to purchasing additional materials, and other improvements.
Spending Authority
Since the Supreme Court Library Fund is continuously appropriated as authorized by Section 13-2-12, C.R.S., no separate appropriation or spending authority would be required.
