TITLE:            CONCERNING AN EXTENSION UNTIL MARCH 1, 1999, OF THE PERIOD FOR WHICH THE COLORADO STATE FAIR AUTHORITY IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE “PROCUREMENT CODE”, ARTICLES 101 TO 112 OF TITLE 24, COLORADO REVISED STATUTES.

Summary of Assessment

Under current law the Colorado State Fair Authority is exempt until March 1, 1998 from the provisions of Section 24-30-14, C.R.S, regarding the negotiation of consultants’ contracts, and Articles 101 to 112 of Title 24, C.R.S, regarding the state procurement code.

This bill extends the exemption from the provisions of Articles 101 to 112 of Title 24, C.R.S., to March 1, 1999. The bill will become effective upon the signature of the Governor.

The provisions of this bill constitute the continuation of an existing policy. The continuation of an existing policy does not affect state base revenue or expenditures. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
