TITLE: CONCERNING GRANTING WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS POWER TO DEAL WITH CONSERVATION EASEMENTS IN GROSS.
Summary of Assessment
The provisions of this bill would authorize Water Conservation Districts to acquire, accept, hold in the name of the district and to manage, operate, transfer, and otherwise deal with conservation easements in gross. This bill would become effective upon signature of the Governor.
The granting of this authority would clarify and put in statute the current practice of water conservation districts. The provisions of the bill would not have a fiscal impact on any agency of the state, or unit of local government. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
