NO FISCAL IMPACT

TITLE:            CONCERNING THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN SCRAP METALS FROM REGULATION AS SOLID WASTE.

Summary of Assessment

            This bill provides definitions of certain types of scrap metals, and excludes the following materials from regulation as solid waste if they are being recycled:

            •   processed scrap metal;

            •   unprocessed home scrap metal;

            •   unprocessed prompt scrap metal; and

            •   certain types of shredded circuit boards.

            The bill will become effective upon the signature of the Governor.

            This bill will not affect state, or local government, revenue or expenditures. Therefore, it is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
