TITLE:      CONCERNING ELECTIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT.

Summary of Assessment

            The bill would allow for the election of members of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) on a partisan basis and allows for candidates to get on the ballot by petition. The bill would become effective upon the Governor’s signature.

            RTD member’s are already elected. Making the election of these members partisan would not increase or decrease state or local government expenditures or revenues. Therefore, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
