CONCERNING COMPENSATION PAID TO ELECTED STATE OFFICIALS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State
of Colorado:
SECTION 1. 22307
(1), Colorado Revised Statutes, 1980 Repl. Vol., as amended, is
amended to read:
22307. Compensation of
members reimbursement of expenses.
(1) Commencing January 2, 1985
1999, all members of the general assembly elected at the 1984
1998 general election and thereafter and members appointed to
fill vacancies for unexpired terms of such
THOSE members shall receive as base compensation for their services
the sum of seventeen thousand five
hundred THIRTY THOUSAND dollars per
annum, payable as follows:
AT THE RATE OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS PER MONTH.
(a) In the months of January,
February, March, and April, a member shall be compensated at the
rate of two thousand one hundred eightyseven dollars and
fifty cents per month;
(b) For the remaining eight months
of the year, a member shall be compensated at the rate of one
thousand ninetythree dollars and seventyfive cents
per month.
SECTION 2. 249101
(1) (a), (1) (b), (1) (d), (1) (e), (1) (f), and (2), Colorado
Revised Statutes, 1988 Repl. Vol., are amended to read:
249101. Salaries of elected
state officials. (1) The following
state officials shall receive annual salaries and allowances,
payable monthly, as follows:
(a) Governor, seventy
NINETY thousand dollars;
(b) Lieutenant governor, fortyeight
SIXTYEIGHT thousand five hundred dollars;
(d) Attorney general, sixty
EIGHTY thousand dollars;
(e) Secretary of state, fortyeight
SIXTYEIGHT thousand five hundred dollars;
(f) State treasurer, fortyeight
SIXTYEIGHT thousand five hundred dollars.
(2) The salaries fixed by subsection (1)
of this section shall become payable on and after the second Tuesday
in January, 1987
1999.
SECTION 3. Safety clause.
The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that
this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health, and safety.
