Authorizes the department of agriculture to solicit and spend grants, donations, and gifts. Requires such moneys to be transmitted to the state treasurer and credited to the particular cash fund or established funding source deemed most appropriate by the department. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. 35-1-104 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW PARAGRAPH to read: 35-1-104. Functions, powers, and duties. (1) The department has and shall exercise the following functions, powers, and duties: (dd) For each division, section, program, or established funding source of the department, to solicit, receive, and spend grants, donations, and gifts. Such moneys shall be transmitted to the state treasurer, who shall credit the same to the particular cash fund or established funding source deemed most appropriate by the department. SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
