Bill Summary (Note: This summary applies to this bill as introduced and does not necessarily reflect any amendments that may be subsequently adopted.) Authorizes the spouse, child, or parent of a person who has died serving in the armed forces to be issued any military special license plate for which the deceased would have qualified. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. 42-3-115.5 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW PARAGRAPH to read: 42-3-115.5. Special plates - military veterans - rules - retirement. (1) (g) The spouse, child, or parent of a person who has died while serving in the armed forces is authorized to be issued any military special license plate the deceased would have qualified for under this article or a rule promulgated by the department of revenue. SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
