Concerning P.O.S.T. board training concerning wrongs to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, add 24-31-313.5 as follows: 24-31-313.5. Training concerning abuse and exploitation of at-risk adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. On or before June 30, 2016, the P.O.S.T. board shall create and implement a training curriculum to prepare peace officers to recognize and address incidents of abuse and exploitation of at-risk adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as described in section 18-6.5-102 (2.5) and (10), C.R.S. SECTION 2. No appropriation. The general assembly has determined that this act can be implemented within existing appropriations, including appropriations pursuant to section 39-28.8-501 (2) (b) (IV) (F), Colorado Revised Statutes, and therefore no separate appropriation of state money is necessary to carry out the purposes of this act. SECTION 3. Safety clause.
