Concerning an increase in the number of district court judges in the twelfth judicial district, and, in connection therewith, making an appropriation. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 13-5-113, add (2) (c) as follows: 13-5-113. Twelfth district. (2) (c) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2015, the number of judges for the twelfth judicial district shall be four. SECTION 2. Appropriation. (1) For the 2015-16 state fiscal year, $340,651 is appropriated to the judicial department. This appropriation consists of $333,631 from the general fund and $7,020 from the judicial department information technology cash fund created in section 13-32-114 (1), C.R.S. To implement this act, the department may use this appropriation as follows: (a) $94,170, which consists of $87,150 from general fund and $7,020 from the judicial department information technology cash fund, for courthouse capital and infrastructure maintenance; and (b) $246,481 from the general fund for trial court programs, which amount is based on an assumption that the department will require an additional 3.2 FTE. SECTION 3. Safety clause.
