SENATE BILL 15-112 BY SENATOR(S) Steadman, Grantham, Lambert; also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Rankin, Hamner, Young, Becker K., Fields, Pettersen, Rosenthal, Ryden. Concerning the transfer of moneys from the general fund to the building regulation fund. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-32-3309, amend (1) (b) as follows: 24-32-3309. Fees - building regulation fund. (1) (b) Notwithstanding any provision of this section to the contrary: (I) On June 1, 2009, the state treasurer shall deduct one million one hundred one thousand three hundred forty-nine dollars from the fund and transfer such sum to the general fund; (II) On April 1, 2015, the state treasurer shall deduct three hundred thousand dollars from the general fund and transfer such sum to the fund; and (III) On July 1, 2016, the state treasurer shall deduct two hundred thousand dollars from the general fund and transfer such sum to the fund. SECTION 2. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-75-402, recreate and reenact, with amendments, (11) as follows: 24-75-402. Cash funds - limit on uncommitted reserves - reduction in amount of fees - exclusions - repeal. (11) (a) For the 2014-15 fiscal year, a waiver of the target reserve requirement specified in subsection (3) of this section is allowed pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection (8) of this section for all excess uncommitted reserves in the building regulation fund created in section 24-32-3309 (1) (a). (b) This subsection (11) is repealed, effective July 1, 2017. SECTION 3. Safety clause.
