Concerning the exemption of yoga teacher training from regulation under statutes governing private occupational education, and, in connection therewith, reducing an appropriation. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 12-59-104, amend (1) (q); and add (1) (s) as follows: 12-59-104. Exemptions. (1) The following educational institutions and educational services are exempt from the provisions of this article: (q) A private educational institution that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States department of education, that confers post-graduate degrees, and that offers programs or courses that are not defined as occupational education pursuant to section 12-59-103 (8.5); and (s) Yoga teacher training courses, programs, and schools. SECTION 2. Appropriation - adjustments to 2015 long bill. To implement this act, the appropriation made in the annual general appropriation act for the 2015-16 state fiscal year to the department of higher education for use by the division of private occupational schools is decreased by $13,349. This appropriation is from the private occupational schools fund created in section 12-59-116, C.R.S. SECTION 3. Safety clause.
