Concerning the allowable uses of moneys in the general fund exempt account that are designated to benefit students attending institutions of higher education. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-77-104.5, amend (4) (a) (IV) and (4) (a) (V); and add (4) (a) (VI), (4) (a) (VII), (4) (a) (VIII), and (4) (a) (IX) as follows: 24-77-104.5. General fund exempt account - appropriations to critical needs fund - specification of uses for health care and education - definitions. (4) (a) Funding for the benefit of students attending community colleges and other institutions of higher education, as used in subparagraph (III) of paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of this section, shall be limited to funding for: (IV) Fee-for-service contracts authorized pursuant to section 23-18-303, C.R.S.; and (V) Capital construction projects related to higher education; (VI) Work-study programs; (VII) Tuition for qualified Indian pupils who attend Fort Lewis college; (VIII) Local district junior college grants; and (IX) Area vocational school grants. SECTION 2. Safety clause.
