Representative McCann, sponsor, introduced House Bill 15-1142. The bill authorizes the public trustee of a county to conduct foreclosure sales through the internet or another electronic means, and allows for the collection of a specific fee for sales that are conducted electronically. The trustee shall publish information related to such sales electronically as well as through traditional means such as posting a physical document.

01:48 PM -- Suzanne Hickox, representing herself, testified regarding the bill. Ms. Hickox spoke about her experience using online foreclosure bidding systems and responded to questions from the committee.

01:50 PM -- Mr. McClendon returned to respond to committee questions regarding efficiencies created by the bill, the bidding process online, potential for system hacking, and other topics related to the bill and the process.
