CONCERNING CHANGES TO THE RULES OF THE SENATE, AND, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, PERMITTING THE REFERRAL OF BILLS ALLOCATING ADDITIONAL LEGISLATIVE STAFF RESOURCES TO THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL AS A COMMITTEE OF REFERENCE AND AUTHORIZING COMMITTEES OF REFERENCE TO RECOMMEND THAT A CONFIRMATION OF A GOVERNOR'S APPOINTMENT BE PLACED ON THE CONSENT CALENDAR. Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Sixty-ninth General Assembly of the State of Colorado: That in the Rules of the Senate, Rule No. 21, amend (a.2) as follows: 21. Committees (a.2) In addition to the committees any other committee of reference specified in subsection (a) of this rule, to which bills and joint resolutions that create or authorize any study to be conducted during the interim or that allocate any additional legislative staff resources during the interim may be referred, such bills and joint resolutions shall a bill that allocates any additional legislative staff resources may also be referred to the Legislative Council as a committee of reference in accordance with section 2-3-303.3 section 2-3-301 (5), Colorado Revised Statutes. That in the Rules of the Senate, Rule No. 36, amend (d) (1) (A) as follows: 36. Confirmations (d) (1) (A) A committee of reference may recommend that a confirmation be placed on the consent calendar for consideration by the Senate.
