The bill exempts trucks and truck tractors used on farms or ranches from the late fees for license plate renewal for 6 months. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 42-3-112, add (1.5) (b.5) as follows: 42-3-112. Failure to pay tax - penalty - rules. (1.5) (b.5) Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, trucks and truck tractors registered under section 42-3-306 (4) are exempt from the late fees for the first six months following expiration of the registration period. SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
