SENATE BILL 14-189 BY SENATOR(S) Steadman, Hodge, Lambert, Cadman, Herpin, Johnston, Jones, King, Nicholson, Rivera, Roberts, Scheffel, Schwartz, Todd, Ulibarri; also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Gerou, Duran, May, Foote, Hamner, Pettersen, Salazar. Concerning a 2014-15 state fiscal year transfer of nine million six hundred seventy-two thousand dollars from the controlled maintenance trust fund to the general fund for the purpose of supporting a fiscal year 2014-15 appropriation for the Colorado firefighting air corps. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-75-302.5, add (8) as follows: 24-75-302.5. Controlled maintenance - trust fund. (8) Notwithstanding any provision of this section to the contrary, on July 1, 2014, the state treasurer shall deduct nine million six hundred seventy-two thousand dollars from the trust fund and transfer such sum to the general fund for the purpose of supporting a fiscal year 2014-15 appropriation for the Colorado firefighting air corps created in section 24-33.5-1228. SECTION 2. Safety clause.
