                         A BILL FOR AN ACT
       Concerning an exemption from the late fee for motor
            vehicle registration for collector vehicles.

            The bill exempts vehicles that are collector's items and horseless
       carriages from the late registration fee of $25 per month.
       
       
       
       Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
            SECTION 1.  In Colorado Revised Statutes, 42-3-112, add (3) (d)
       as follows:
            42-3-112.  Failure to pay tax - penalty - rules. (3)  The late fee
       described in subsection (1) of this section shall not be imposed on a
       vehicle subject to taxation under this article if:
            (d)  The vehicle is a collector's item, as defined in section
       42-12-101, or a horseless carriage registered pursuant to
       section 42-12-301.
            SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds,
       determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
       preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
