      HOUSE BILL 12-1094
      
      
      BY REPRESENTATIVE(S) Kerr A., Court, Fields, Hamner, Jones,
      Labuda, Pabon, Tyler;
      also SENATOR(S) King S.
      
      
      Concerning increasing the fine for parking in front of a fire
           hydrant in an unincorporated area of a county.
       
      
      Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
      
           SECTION 1.  In Colorado Revised Statutes, 42-4-1204, amend (7)
      as follows:
      
           42-4-1204.  Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified
      places. (7)  Any person who violates any provision of this section commits
      a class B traffic infraction; except that, if a person violates paragraph
      (b) of subsection (2) of this section and the violation occurs in an
      unincorporated area of a county, the penalty is fifty dollars.
      
           SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds,
      determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
      preservation of the public peace, health, and safety.
