SENATE BILL 11-020 BY SENATOR(S) Morse, King S.; also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Stephens, Barker, Fields, Kerr J., Liston, Nikkel, Schafer S., Waller. Concerning the authorization of certain employees of the department of law as peace officers. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. 16-2.5-128, Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read: 16-2.5-128. Colorado attorney general - chief deputy attorney general - solicitor general - assistant solicitor general - deputy attorney general - assistant attorney general of criminal enforcement - assistant attorney general and employee as designated. The attorney general, chief deputy attorney general, solicitor general, assistant solicitors general, deputy attorneys general, deputy and assistant attorneys general of criminal enforcement, and certain deputy and assistant attorneys general of consumer protection that other assistant attorneys general and employees of the department of law who are designated by the attorney general, are peace officers whose authority shall include the enforcement of all laws of the state of Colorado and who may be certified by the P.O.S.T. board. SECTION 2. Safety clause.
