SENATE BILL 11-195 BY SENATOR(S) Brophy, Boyd, Newell; also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Sonnenberg, Barker, Becker, Brown, Fields, Holbert, Joshi, Kerr J., Pabon, Ramirez, Scott, Stephens, Summers. Concerning the residency of a health care provider who verifies a person's disability for purposes of obtaining credentials entitling the person to park a vehicle in spaces reserved for use by persons with disabilities. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. 42-3-204 (1) (g), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read: 42-3-204. Parking privileges for persons with disabilities - applicability - rules - repeal. (1) As used in this section: (g) "Professional" means a physician licensed to practice medicine or practicing medicine pursuant to section 12-36-106 (3) (i), C.R.S., a physician assistant licensed pursuant to section 12-36-107.4, C.R.S., a podiatrist licensed under article 32 of title 12, C.R.S., or an advanced practice nurse registered pursuant to section 12-38-111.5, C.R.S., or a physician, physician assistant, podiatrist, or advanced practice nurse authorized to practice professionally by another state that shares a common border with Colorado. SECTION 2. Safety clause.
