SENATE BILL 11-198 BY SENATOR(S) Morse, Shaffer B., Kopp, Steadman; also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Stephens, McNulty, Pace. Concerning payment of expenses of the legislative department. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. Appropriation. In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, to the legislative department of the state of Colorado, the sum of thirty-three million five hundred ninety thousand six hundred sixty-five dollars ($33,590,665), or so much thereof as may be necessary, of which amount thirty-two million five hundred fifty-two thousand two hundred sixty-two dollars ($32,552,262) shall be out of any moneys in the general fund not otherwise appropriated, one hundred eighty-four thousand five hundred eighty-seven dollars ($184,587) shall be from cash funds, and eight hundred fifty-three thousand eight hundred sixteen dollars ($853,816) shall be from reappropriated funds, for payment of the expenses of the legislative department for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, to be allocated as follows: General assembly $11,390,505 1/ (66.0 FTE) State auditor 7,875,989 2/ (68.0 FTE) Joint budget committee 1,487,174 (16.0 FTE) Legislative council 6,603,966 (68.0 FTE) Committee on legal services 5,178,820 (53.0 FTE) PERA Amortization Equalization Disbursement586,263 PERA Supplemental Amortization Equalization Disbursement 467,948 Total legislative department $33,590,665 1/ Of this amount, $90,000 is appropriated out of cash funds generated by the sale of bill boxes and legislative directories, $3,816 is appropriated out of reappropriated funds from the methamphetamine abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment cash fund created in section 18-18.5-105 (1) (a), Colorado Revised Statutes, and $11,296,689 is appropriated out of the general fund. 2/ Of this amount, $6,931,402 is appropriated out of the general fund, $850,000 is appropriated out of reappropriated funds received from various departments for audits, and $94,587 is appropriated out of cash funds received pursuant to section 2-3-113 (7), Colorado Revised Statutes. 3/ In addition, it is anticipated that, during the 2011-12 fiscal year, the tax levy on civil actions provided for in section 2-5-119, Colorado Revised Statutes, will return approximately $346,000 to the general fund to offset expenses of the revision of statutes by the office of legislative legal services. SECTION 2. Appropriation. In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the general fund not otherwise appropriated, to the youth advisory council cash fund created in section 2-2-1306, Colorado Revised Statutes, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, the sum of eight thousand four hundred seventy-two dollars ($8,472), to be used for purposes consistent with the creation of the fund. SECTION 3. Safety clause.
