SENATE BILL 07-019 BY SENATOR(S) Spence, and Windels; also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Kerr A., Merrifield, Benefield, Solano, Summers, and Todd. Concerning the review of teacher preparation programs not more frequently than once every five years. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. 23-1-121 (4) (a) (II), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read: 23-1-121. Commission directive - approval of teacher preparation programs. (4) (a) (II) Following the initial review of teacher preparation programs pursuant to this section, the commission shall establish a schedule for review of teacher preparation programs that ensures each program is reviewed as provided in this section at least not more frequently than once every five years. SECTION 2. Effective date.
