12:05 PM -- Senate Bill 05-222 - Concerning Gasoline and Special Fuel Taxes


Representative Larson, prime sponsor, explained the provisions of the bill. Representative Larson commented that Senate Bill 05-222 requires both special fuel and gasoline to be taxed by the gallon and provides each type of fuel the same allowances for losses in transit and costs of collection. The bill also requires fuel taxes to be remitted electronically, one day later than required by current law.
