Representative Jahn, sponsor, described the provision of SB05-152 concerning local government competition in the provision of telecommunication services.

He also described telecommunications services available in certain Colorado communities and other countries including South Korea and Japan.

Mr. Garett described the provisions of Amendment L. 008 that addresses concerns of certain opponents of the bill and submitted a map of the State of Colorado's Multi-Use Network (on file with the Office of Legislative Council Staff and the State Archives).

He explained that he sold his home in Red Stone and moved to the City of Glenwood Springs to obtain the telecommunication services he needed for his business.
