The meeting was called to order by the chairman, Representative Merrifield.
02:04 PM -- Senate Bill 05-204
Representative McFadyen reviewed the provisions of Senate Bill 05-204, concerning changes to the membership requirements of the governing boards of the state-supported institutions of higher education in Colorado. She discussed a proposal for amending the bill. She described how the composition of the Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System would change if the bill were amended as she was proposing.

Representative McFadyen responded to questions about the bill and proposals to further amend the bill. Representative Paccione discussed potential ideas for changing the composition of the offices of the board that were advisory. Representative McFadyen made further comments about the provisions of the reengrossed bill.

Representative Larson raised questions about collaboration with representatives of the Colorado State University system. Representative McFadyen responded to questions about the progress of the bill and the input that had been made as the bill has been amended. The committee continued to discussed the proposed composition of the Board of Governors.
