Representative Curry, sponsor, presented the bill encouraging the use of telemedicine and addressing interstate compacts. She answered questions about patient costs and outsourcing issues. Members commented on the use of telemedicine. Amendments L.003 and L.004 were distributed to members (Attachments A and B).

08:53 AM -- George Dikeou, Copic Insurance, discussed telemedicine, legislation considered in recent years, and incidental consultations among physicians. He answered questions about the impact of telemedicine on quality of care and the liability of out-of-state physicians.

09:14 AM -- Robert Ferm, Alliance for Managed Care, spoke in support of the bill and expressed concerns with a potential amendment to the bill. He answered questions about outsourcing.

09:17 AM -- Jenifer Brandeberry, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, discussed medical liability coverage.

09:22 AM -- Janet Fox Stephens, Colorado Health and Hospital Association, discussed concerns with some language contained in the bill. She answered questions about hospital liability.
